Issaquah is a vibrant, growing community nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Established in 1892, Issaquah now encompasses about 12.49 square miles and is home to 33,330 people.  Much of Issaquah's growth has occurred since 1990, thanks to annexations and a housing boom led by construction in the Issaquah Highlands and Talus urban villages. Combined, these urban villages will include almost 5,000 housing units when building is complete.
